Guy McLean is a self-taught Australian Horseman who has entertained, inspired, and educated millions of audience members from all walks of life. After achieving top honors in his field at home, Guy decided it was time to take on the international stage. In June of 2010, Guy arrived in the US with four of his Australian bred horses to commence his first American tour. 

 

Cindy Ishoy, one of Canada's most successful international dressage riders, began her riding career in Germany as a teenager. Only a few years later, Cindy's talent was recognized internationally when she was a member of the gold medal team and placed fourth individually at the 1971 Pan Am Games in Cali, Colombia. 

 

Mike Barker has been employed with Life Data Labs for 20 years. He was the Life Data Labs Research Facility Manager that conducted Nutrition Studies with Thoroughbred horses from their conception throughout their adult life. His current position as Sales Manager allows him to travel across the U. S. and other parts of the world providing technical support for the company’s products and to share nutrition information with the equine industry. Mike graduated from the university of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Animal Science. His background of work before Life Data Labs was with Auburn University and Alabama A & M University in the field of livestock and forage production as an educator and County Extension Agent. Most recent he has done numerous Face Book Live presentations, Webinars, nutrition lectures for Farrier Schools and has had a presence at the International Hoof Care Summit as a speaker.

Kateri Cowley was born and raised at world famous Rafter Six Ranch, where riding everyday was not just a passion, it was a part of life. It was from here that she got discovered by the big screen, starting stunt riding at the young age of 7 for the Olson Twins and more recently Heartland-since season 1 to present. She has wrangled for many international movies and television with actors such as Brad Pitt, Charlie Boorman, Mark Wright, Jason Momoa, and many more! 

 

Bits - which, when, how and why? (Regardless of discipline) 

 

Dr. Ian Bishop is a practicing veterinarian who graduated from OVC in 2009 and tried different types of practice before deciding to focus on equine dentistry exclusively. In 2018 he started his equine dentistry practice and began an AVDC Equine residency under Dr. Travis Henry in Wisconsin. He travelled between Ontario and the USA, working on the residency, until finishing the program in 2022. This year he is sitting the board exams and, once passing those, he will be board certified as a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dentistry (Equine).

 

Madeline Boast completed her masters in Equine Nutrition at the University of Guelph and started an independent nutrition company known as Balanced Bay. She has worked with a variety of equines – from miniature ponies to competing thoroughbreds. Through Balanced Bay she designs customized balanced nutrition plans that prioritize equine well-being. This includes diets for optimal performance as well as solving complex nutritional issues and everything in between.

Dr. R Scott Hie graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1996, being accepted into the College after completing two years of undergraduate study in Animal Science at the University of Guelph. He has maintained a private human practice in Toronto since his graduation. In addition, he completed the Canadian Animal Chiropractic Certification Program, and he is a member of the College of Animal Chiropractors and the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
